Emma Pinnock was one of the best appointments I ever made!
Her role as an Assistant Head Teacher was to establish and develop an ASC resource base that would successfully support children with additional needs to achieve their full potential across the curriculum. This was achieved through her skilful leadership; her wealth of knowledge and the special relationships that she developed with children and families.
Her commitment to the personal development of these young people went way beyond the school gate; impacting on family life to such an extent that delighted parents reported that they were confidently taking their child to the supermarket, to the cinema…on holiday even!
The specialist expertise that she brought to the school facilitated the development of staff expertise thus enabling pupils to successfully integrate into main stream classrooms with their peers. Ofsted inspectors commented that they couldn’t
pick out the ‘base’ pupils in classes with their peer group!
Emma is a special person; an outstanding communicator, teacher, mentor, coach who is ultimately extremely sensible and pragmatic; instilling confidence in all who work with her. I recommend her without hesitation.
